APC CELEBRATES PROF. NENTAWE YILWATDA’S ELECTION AS THE CHAIRMAN OF THE RABAT PROCESS

The APC members are filled with joy and pride upon hearing the news of Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, Nigeria’s Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, being elected as the Chairman of the RABAT PROCESS, a Euro-African Dialogue for development, in Porto, Portugal, yesterday afternoon.

As reported, the RABAT PROCESS, an international body comprising Euro-African countries, unanimously elected Professor Yilwatda at the beginning of its meeting yesterday in Porto, Portugal.

The election of Professor Yilwatda is not only uplifting news but also demonstrates the recognition and respect the international community accords Nigeria.

There is no doubt that the Honourable Minister’s pedigree, capacity, and competence were taken into consideration before winning the confidence and trust of the member states.

To the APC members, Professor Yilwatda’s election to lead this international organization is not surprising, given his qualifications, experience, and strength of character to occupy the esteemed position.

Furthermore, President Tinubu’s decision to appoint Professor Yilwatda to head a key ministry of his government is justified and appreciated both nationally and internationally.

While commending President Tinubu for providing Professor Yilwatda with the necessary support to emerge as the Chair of the RABAT PROCESS, the APC assures him that the Honourable Minister will not disappoint him or Nigerians.

The APC also expresses hope and belief that the Honourable Minister will ensure that Nigeria benefits maximally from this opportunity.
