Bola Tinubu is expected to be inaugurated as Nigeria’s President on May 29th, 2023, when the eight-year leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari ends. Tinubu travelled to Europe in late March after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared him the winner of the presidential election conducted on February 25. He has since returned to Nigeria and moved into the Defence House in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja ahead of his inauguration.
