LAGOS SWEARING IN COMMISSIONER & SPECIAL ADVISERS

Today, I had the privilege of swearing in 37 Commissioners and Special Advisers.

I charged them with the responsibility to work together collaboratively, building on the achievements of our administration’s first four years in office.

Our state executive council is a diverse blend of politicians and technocrats, comprising of 18 returning members from the previous cabinet and 19 new individuals.

I emphasized to the Commissioners and Special Advisers the importance of surpassing the expectations of Lagosians.

They were chosen meticulously, and without a doubt, they are some of the best minds not only in Lagos State but across the nation.

They are true representatives of the excellence that Lagos stands for. I urge Lagosians to rejoice in their selection and to anticipate top-quality service and performance in the coming months and years.

The task ahead for this new cabinet is clear: to build upon the successes of our first four years in office and bring us closer to our vision of a Greater Lagos.

The expectations of our people have never been higher, and meeting them is not an option but a necessity.

Lagos is known as the Centre of Excellence, and it is imperative that our work reflects excellence in every aspect.

I stressed the importance of unity, inclusivity, and ensuring that every decision made considers the best interests of our people.

Success will be achieved through working together, engaging with the public, staying grounded, and maintaining a strong work ethic.

The people of Lagos State expect nothing but the best, and achieving that requires reaching out, engaging, and collaborating.

It demands humility to listen and learn, to seek broad consultations and consider well-intentioned advice, and to recognize that our collective success or failure is intertwined.

I expect nothing less than the best from each and every one of them.

May God guide us in effectively carrying out our responsibilities.
