THE NEXT GENERATION- P BAT

See how I’m laughing… P-BAT has a mission, and make no mistake, nothing you throw at him will stop it. Now, the Senate is about to pass a bill establishing the Local Government Electoral Commission. This means LG elections will no longer be at the mercy of state governors. Power brokers at state level are angry now…they can’t grasp the audacity of this bold stand.

The reforms he’s undertaking are tough, and they naturally breed enemies and antagonists. Yes, some of these changes will cause short-term hardship, but these are necessary reforms that past leaders lacked the political courage to implement because they feared the backlash from such decisions.

In every sector of the nation, he’s challenging the untouchables. Those who have always had their way with every government are realizing that it’s no longer business as usual. He’s disrupting a status quo that has stood for many years, and powerful people are angry. Unfortunately, the masses can’t yet grasp his vision because the outcomes aren’t clearβ€”this is often the case when deep-rooted foundations are being uprooted.

Some are already threatening him with concerns about his second term… and it makes me laugh. Why? Because most leaders wait until they’ve secured a second term before making bold policy decisions that could disrupt the status quo. But not Tinubu. It takes a leader who isn’t worried about personal losses to take such a bold stance.

For once, I see a leader who isn’t concerned about re-election but is determined to do what’s necessary, regardless of the political consequences. Often, Nigerians desire good things, but how many are truly willing to pay the price for those good things to materialize? Nothing good comes easy in life.

I remember asking someone in government if Tinubu isn’t concerned about the electoral backlash, especially regarding his second term. The response was that they had asked him the same, and his answer was simple: “Who knows if we’ll be alive tomorrow? Why should I delay doing what I believe is right for the country just for political reasons? Who knows what tomorrow holds?”

Truly, the saying “Politicians think of the next election, leaders think of the next generation” comes to mind here.

Our dear visionary, pragmatic, indefatigable, legendary and empathetic President (Leader), *Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR,* all Patriots and truly progressive minded Nigerians are unrepentantly in support of your numerous noble visions and mission to make Nigeria great again.

*May this nation fulfill its destiny*ki
